3-way canthoplasty: 3-month review

The outer corners of my eyes were slanted upward and blocked off, so only a little of the white of my eyes showed on the outside, and the lower iris was also hidden more than in other people. My eyes gave off a somewhat unpleasant and cramped impression. I wish I had widened them together with my double eyelid surgery when I was younger, but even now, more than 10 years later, it still bothered me.. (Though if I had done it back then, it probably would have become a straight horizontal line, so maybe it was actually good that I did not..!) A lot of people say outer canthoplasty re-adheres anyway, and for eyes like mine, I would probably need to do lower canthoplasty as well for it to work, but then smiling looks strange and it goes back up again... On top of that, I am already in my 30s, so I agonized over it a lot. Then I found out that the 3-way canthoplasty done at Barabone Plastic Surgery is only an outer canthoplasty, but it also has the effect of lower canthoplasty, and it is fixed firmly to the periosteum so it does not re-adhere easily, so I went there as my second hospital and decided right away. The surgery was around January 8, and now it is the 3-month mark. I am the type who swells and bruises easily, but because I kept up with compresses well, I recovered faster than I expected, and the conjunctival edema, which is usually worse for me than for other people, is now completely gone and perfectly clear~ I was so satisfied that I even thanked them when I went for my follow-up haha, and seeing my friends around me saying they want to get it too makes me feel like it really worked, so I am writing this review happily! The blocked areas opened up a lot, and the eyes also came down into a better position! The double eyelid line used to extend very far toward the back on its own, but now that the eye has opened more, it looks even more natural. They said there was not much space at the back, so only a small amount could be widened, but even so, the white of the eyes is definitely showing more and I am satisfied. The scar was a bit red too, but now it is really not noticeable at all.
