Nose Surgery Reviews

Please read if you’ve had hump nose surgery

I’m very satisfied with the front view of my nose, but from the side or from below, the hump really sticks out and kept bothering me. I read a blog post three years ago, saw that the hump had gone away and that it seemed safe, and then impulsively had surgery there this time.

I honestly took it very lightly. I just thought, if they only remove that part, it should be fine. And unlike eyes and things like that, there are so many people around me who’ve had surgery, but for noses there really aren’t many, or maybe one or two if there are any. But because it shows so much, I thought, maybe I shouldn’t do it at a plastic surgery clinic? And since it’s connected to breathing too, I just thought let’s only remove the hump while keeping safety in mind...

But the director said that in cases like this, they slightly tie the tip of the nose, and I honestly was satisfied with my nose tip, so on the day of surgery I went with my mom, and since my mom said no too, I said I wouldn’t do that and went ahead with the surgery. After the splint came off, I thought it looked exactly how I wanted, but the tip of the nose was a little round. Later I found out that they had slightly tied the tip.

I was startled at first, but since it turned out well, I let it go. But now, as I’m almost at month 5 and the swelling is going down, it feels incredibly flat, like the bridge of my nose has disappeared. Or rather, the tip looks more pronounced and instead it feels like a bulbous nose, a dog nose. For almost a month now, my blood has dried up and I’ve lost a lot of weight, and I’m looking into revision surgery in Seoul, and honestly it’s been so hard on me mentally. Truthfully, my face looked better when I still had the hump...

It’s been so hard on my mind. There are about 50 days left until the 6-month mark, and honestly every day is hard, even seeing people is hard... It doesn’t look that noticeable, but because of that flatness and lack of dimension, it’s been so hard. But the hump was shaved down really well, so it is straight ㅡㅡㅋ Ugh, I really don’t even know exactly what the problem is, so that makes me more scared. I’m also worried they’ll overstate things at every plastic surgery clinic I visit. My hump was not that severe, but it’s come back to me like a mental illness. Still, maybe because they really prioritize safety here, functionally it seems to have turned out very well... Really, waiting another 50 days is so hard, and I’m also so worried about what will happen after that.
