I had early total removal of silicone, donated costal cartilage, and ear cartilage 15 days after nose surgery.
The reason I had early removal was because my nose was too high for my face + my impression changed + it felt hard and uncomfortable, so after getting the nose surgery, I never slept comfortably even for a single dayㅠㅠ Even when I talked to the hospital where I had surgery about early removal, they only told me to wait ㅠ I was so stressed.. I kept asking for help in this community.. and kind people told me to look into hospitals specializing in removal and gave me a lot of information and help ㅠㅠ so I had early total removal! Now I'm almost at week 3!!
Maybe because I didn't have things like osteotomy or nostril reduction separately, it has almost returned 95% to my natural nose. There is still swelling though..!! Thinking about how I kept struggling emotionally, going in and out of this community and cafes, and posting tons of questions, I feel 100%, 10,000% sure I did the right thing by removing it early. They say that with time my nose will soften again like before surgery, so I'm going to wait with peace of mind.
I don't know if the contracture period just hasn't come for me yet, but I only have a little occasional throbbing pain, and I don't really notice any contracture period!! Maybe that's a good thing haha Are there people who, like me, quietly passed through without a contracture period??
