I was going to get buried sutures, but on the day of surgery I changed to an incisional method, and they removed some skin to correct the sagging. I liked the line on the first day, but I was really worried because of the swelling. After the first stitches were removed, and then the incision-line stitches were removed yesterday, my eyes feel more open and it feels like the swelling is going down. Today’s photo was taken in the morning, so it’s quite swollen, but it gets better in the afternoon. There’s still a little bruising, but not enough to bother me^^ But the swelling was slightly different on each side, and on the more swollen side, a line formed above the incision line ㅠㅠ Once the swelling goes down later, it’ll come down to the incision line, right???? If only the line on that eye settles properly, I think I’ll be totally satisfied with my first double eyelid surgery!!!! But after getting double eyelid surgery, my lips look so thin... People say once you get plastic surgery, you keep wanting to touch other areas too, and now I’m going around reading reviews wondering if I should get just a little lip filler ㅎㅎㅎㅎ
I went to this place after being referred by an older friend who works as a hospital manager, and I liked that the director was meticulous, told me only the facts, and tried to reflect my opinions as much as possible! At the consultation, I spoke with the director from the beginning, only discussed the cost with the manager, and after surgery I see them 3 days later, 1 week later, and 1 month later.
At other hospitals I went to, they explained it as if there would be no swelling and said the major swelling would go down in a week, and they only showed photos with really no swelling. But the director here showed photos from one week later that still had swelling and yellow bruising, and explained that major swelling takes a month and minor swelling takes 6 months to go down. They told me in advance that the one-month follow-up is when the incision line will be at its reddest, and said patients forget that, then get anxious when people around them say the incision scar looks red or scarred, so they intentionally schedule one more visit. They said if I’m not anxious, I can come after 2-3 months instead. They said they’ll check the line again once the major swelling is gone^^ It didn’t feel like a flashy Gangnam-style factory, so I think I actually liked that more.
If anyone here is waiting for their first surgery, don’t be too anxious and don’t be scared!! I’m such a coward, and even before going into the operating room I was trembling, and when I lay on the bed I was shaking like crazy, but once the surgery started, I gradually felt okay!! Since it was my first surgery, I was so worried it would go wrong, but I hope everyone goes to lots of consultations and meets a good director!!
