I had double eyelid surgery 10 years ago (incisional, eye correction) It seems to have loosened now, and the line at the inner side is covered so it looks 답답해 / heavy and cramped
<The eyes I want: in-out line, not too high, I want my eyes to look clearer than they do now>
My skin also seems to be sagging a little now, and I wanted my eyes to look sharper, so I looked into clinics for revision surgery.. I squeezed all the info I could out of the popular apps, filled an A4 page, and narrowed it down to places whose reviews matched my style. There are really just too many clinics, it’s exhausting. Everyone feels the same, right???
1. Sinsa Station ㅇㅇㄱㄹ - The manager was kind. They explained things while looking at the CT and photos, without being pushy, and gave me the same kind of explanation as the doctor, so the consultation felt good.
- A solo-practice doctor, and they only opened not long ago. I liked that they only do 3-4 surgeries a day. There aren’t many reviews yet, but I went there because of the doctor’s reputation. The doctor spoke gently and explained things kindly.
- Recommended an in-out line, double-line technique, revision eye-correction surgery, upper canthoplasty, and lateral canthoplasty (they said if I want visible change after surgery, they recommend upper and lateral canthoplasty)
= In conclusion, it was good overall, but somehow it didn’t quite click with me...
2. Gangnam Station ㄷㅇㅇ (On the way there, I fell into 고민 / uncertainty. I thought about all sorts of things like, what if the consultation still doesn’t give me an answer? Since I’m doing it anyway, I might as well ask everything. I also decided to get a nose consultation, and went there.)
- Since it’s a large hospital, I thought I’d have to wait a really long time, but maybe because it was Wednesday, I was able to meet the manager within 20 minutes of my appointment time (there were a lot of people though)
- The manager was very bright and kind, so I liked that right away. They listened enough to what made me want cosmetic surgery and whether there was anything specific I wanted, and gave a thorough consultation. They also told me what I shouldn’t do, which was clean and straightforward.
- Eye consultation 1. Doctor ㅎㅅㅎ After touching my eyes one or two times, he just said everything you want is possible, then silence.. ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ What is this? Is the consultation over? I asked again, "If in-out is possible, I’d like to do it / Since I have to use a lot of force to open my eyes, do I need eye-correction surgery again? / If outer canthoplasty or lower canthoplasty is possible, I’d like to do it~" But he only said, "Ah~ everything is possible," so honestly I didn’t trust it. ;; There was no explanation.
- (Immediately after, as recommended by the manager, a "nose" consultation) Doctor ㅅㅈㅇ The doctor had a nice voice. After giving the facts, she explained things in a calm way. For me, she recommended strong autologous costal cartilage with no side effects, shaped the form for me, and said the surgery direction would be to raise only the tip of the nose. She explained everything based on my nose, including what would happen depending on what was put into the nose. It seemed like she recommended a natural result, saying things like, this doesn’t really need to be done, and if you do it, it’ll turn out like this.
- Eye consultation 2 (after pleading earnestly..!!) Doctor ㅊㅈㅎ I was able to meet him right away at a good timing. As soon as he came in, he looked over my eyes from side to side and told me to open and close them. He said the first surgery was done wrong, and recommended re-positioning the fat above the eyes and a not-too-strong semi-line with eye-correction surgery / incisional surgery.
I thought I was opening my eyes with my brows, so I thought my eye-opening force was too strong, but he said that was because the eye-correction surgery had also been done wrong. He said he would lower the muscle hold a bit more, and kept telling me to look in the mirror while he fixed the line, saying this is how my pretty eyes should be. He really even pulled out his phone and showed me recent post-op photos to help figure out what my style is. (He also asked whether I was more like Jennie or Jisoo from BLACKPINK lol)
As an aside, the doctor himself said: I like eyes that are pretty~ eyes should be pretty. Just fixing them firmly in place is worse than not doing it at all, Of course, the line needs to be fixed firmly so it doesn’t loosen, but a successful surgery means a surgery that makes the eyes look pretty, he said that confidently!
= The price was a little lower than option 1, and I’m currently deciding about eye surgery with Doctor ㅊㅈㅎ!!!
디ㅇㅇ Plastic Surgery Has anyone had Doctor ㅊㅈㅎ~~?? Please share! ♥️
