Maybe because it’s a hospital famous for ASO and receding chin, even though I went on a weekday morning, there were about 5 to 6 people waiting. (There was also one Chinese person..)
Honestly, the interior was a bit old-fashioned.. but I don’t care about that kind of thing lol
The doctor was gentle and kind.
They said I don’t need receding chin surgery, and it probably wouldn’t have any effect.. I only need protruding mouth surgery.. (quote 11.5 million won)
They collaborate with ㅇㅅ Dental Clinic in the same building. Before surgery, they decide the surgical direction with the dental clinic.. After surgery, it seems orthodontic treatment is done at that dental clinic..
They said whether I need orthodontic treatment or not can only be known after ASO surgery.. They said even people who don’t need dental braces may sometimes need them after ASO surgery..
It’s such a famous hospital, and the doctor has a lot of experience, so I feel confident about the skill..
But the surgical direction is the complete opposite of ㅇㄹㅈ Plastic Surgery, where I went before, so I’m seriously agonizing over where to go right now..ㅜㅜㅜ
ㅇㄹㅈ’s position is that if I do protruding mouth surgery, I’ll end up with a sunken mouth, so I must absolutely not do protruding mouth surgery, and only need receding chin surgery!!.. (consultation after CT scan)
ㅅㅇㅈㅇ’s position is that I don’t need receding chin surgery and should do protruding mouth surgery!!.. They say hospitals that suggest receding chin surgery do so because they’re not confident in protruding mouth surgery, and that even protruding mouth surgery alone will give a big effect.. They say there’s no way I’ll end up with a sunken mouth, so don’t worry.. (no CT scan)
Both are famous hospitals, so it’s hard to choose.. For now, I’m thinking of going to one or two more places for consultations..

ㅇㄹㅈ did a CT scan and consulted me, but ㅅㅇㅈㅇ consulted without taking a CT..
The cost is also cheaper at ㅇㄹㅈ, and ㅇㄹㅈ’s surgical method doesn’t involve orthodontics or anything, it just ends after surgery.. but ㅅㄹㅈㅇ’s surgical method might require orthodontics too..
so I am more drawn to ㅇㄹㅈ..
But in this community and the plastic surgery gallery, ㅅㅇㅈㅇ has more reviews and better ratings lol I’m just planning to go around to a few more places for consultations and then decide.. yeah
