<Summary>
• I’m a man in my mid-20s. My nasal bridge is above the average for Korean men, so I wanted only the tip raised. Thin nasal skin. Deviated septum. (No separate rhinitis or nasal congestion symptoms.) Short columella. Prefer a natural-looking nose over a flashy one.
• The clinic is famous for revision surgery, and also for doing strong, glamorous noses, so anyway it was a place I definitely wanted to consult at least once.. Because it’s so well known, consultations were heavily booked. My original consultation was supposed to be in June, but a cancellation suddenly opened up yesterday, so I rushed over for a consultation today haha (I also have a consultation booked at another place, but here the earliest appointment is in September…^^ It probably won’t even open up through cancellations there ㅠㅜ)
• Location: It’s right outside Exit 4 of Sinnonhyeon Station.. It’s across from Urban Hive (that SpongeBob-like building with the holes punched all over it), so people going to ㅂㅌ or ㄹㅂㄹ plastic surgery clinics can use that when planning their route lol
• Clinic environment: It’s a one-doctor clinic, so it’s small in scale, but the interior was fairly stylish and cleanㅎ
• Consultation order: Photo shoot + CT scan + a short initial talk with the manager (I think it was kept brief because of the virtual simulation..) -> consultation with the director -> consultation with the manager
• Waiting time: Probably because it’s such a famous clinic, there were a lot of people.. (all women.. I was the only man ㅜㅜ) The waiting time was really long lol Plastic surgery clinics are usually like that, but this place was especially long ㅜㅜㅜ Expect about 90 minutes just for waiting^^ (I think it was the longest among the clinics I visited..)
While I was waiting, I organized in my phone memo what I wanted to say to the doctor, what I was curious about, and what kind of style I wanted.. lol **If you organize things like this in advance, you won’t forget what you wanted to ask, and it’s also good because you can clearly and accurately convey exactly what you wanted to say during the consultationㅎㅎ
• They also do something called Time Machine virtual rhinoplasty, which predicts what you’ll look like after surgeryㅋㅋㅋ They show it later when you consult with the manager, and personally it helped a lotㅋㅋ In my case, even just raising the tip a little made the image look completely different lol It was interesting, and it made me really look forward to how I’d look after surgeryㅎㅎ (I didn’t realize there were that few clinics that do this.. Among the places I’ve visited so far, only ㅇㅇㄹㅇ near Gangnam-gu Office Station and here, ㅂㅌ, did itㅋㅋ)
• Friendliness: The doctor looked busy, but still explained everything that needed to be said and answered all my questions..ㅎㅎ The manager was extremely kindㅋㅋㅋ The back-and-forth with the manager was great, and I ended up talking with the manager for a really long timeㅋㅋㅋ She answered all sorts of questions well.. super kind and funㅋㅋㅋ
• Consultation details: Raise the tip a little with autologous costal cartilage + shave down the hump a little, and fill with ear cartilage.. Don’t use silicone for the bridge! Inferior turbinate?? They’ll do the rhinitis surgery as a service…
• Quote: Autologous costal cartilage 6.4 million KRW (VAT 640,000) total 7.04 million KRW If the nasal bridge bone is shaved during surgery, an additional 330,000 KRW (VAT included) is charged. Card and cash prices are the same
• Consultation fee: None
• Review: Since they specialize in flashy, strong noses, I thought they’d recommend all sorts of procedures, but they only recommended what was actually necessary, and they didn’t suggest anything that seemed like it would look weird or unnatural if done. I liked that they only talked about the procedures that were truly needed..
Among the places I’ve visited so far, this place and director ㅇㄱㅁ at ㅇㅂㅈ were the most appealing.. Their idea of the nose shape I want and the direction of surgery also matched the closest..
Personally, I really like director ㅇㄱㅁ at ㅇㅂㅈㅋㅋㅋ I even watch director ㅇㄱㅁ’s personal YouTube channel and stuff, and they really seem like a true doctorㅋㅋ
But in terms of surgical direction and shape, ㅂㅌ is more appealing..ㅎㅎ
I’ll probably do my nose at either director ㅇㄱㅁ at ㅇㅂㅈ Plastic Surgery Clinic or at ㅂㅌ..

Me: My face looks broad, so I was thinking about nose surgery because I thought that if I raised the nose a bit, my face might look more three-dimensional.
But rather than making it too strong, too flashy, and too thin-looking, please make it as natural as possible..
The nose shape I want is that softly rounded, slightly defined unisex-looking nose, you know.. somewhere between straight-low and straight??
And I want the tip to be a little rounded and slightly dropped..
Also, personally I think my bridge isn’t bad, so I was wondering if I should just do the tip only??.. Or, although it’s not a huge complex of mine, I do have a slight hump, so I’m thinking whether I should just add silicone to the bridge while I’m at it, and I’m curious what the director thinks..
I want a nose like Park Bo-gum or Song Kang, something like that?? It’s more that I want that kind of feeling/image, but I obviously have my own existing image, right??.. I think it would be fine to just make it suit my image and keep it appropriately natural...
My septum is also a bit bent.. I have a deviated septum, but I don’t have separate nasal blockage or rhinitis symptoms, so I’m wondering what you think about doing that at the same time while I’m already getting surgery..
Anyway, that’s what I’m thinking, but everyone suits a different nose.. So I’m curious what kind of nose shape or surgical direction the doctor thinks would suit me.
Director: Raise the tip with the septum, shave the hump a little, and fill with ear cartilage.. If you want a nose like Song Kang or Park Bo-gum, you’d need to raise the bridge a bit with silicone, but your nasal skin is thin and your columella is short, so if you think about the future, don’t be too greedy and it’d be better to do only the tip.. That would be much more natural and better.. If you use silicone, it may show throughㅎ
If you raise the tip to match the hump nose, the nose gets too high and looks odd, so you shouldn’t match the hump exactly; it should be raised to a moderate degree..
If you shave the hump too much, the bridge becomes low, so I’ll only shave it appropriately
It’s not the kind of nose that can change drastically just from surgeryㅎㅎ
It seems like you may have a bit of sinusitis.. You do have a slight deviated septum.. and the nose is a bit asymmetric too.. the inferior turbinate mucosa is swollen.. Even if the mucosa is removed during surgery, there’s a high chance of recurrence (I may not have understood correctly because it was difficult terminologyㅋㅋ)
The doctor did seem a bit busy, but still said everything he needed to say during the consultation and listened well to me tooㅎㅎ

Manager: Why do you want rhinoplasty? -> Me: My face is broad, and I’m thinking about rhinoplasty because I thought raising the nose might make it look more three-dimensional.. -> Manager: Since the nose is the center of the face, if you raise it, the face really does look noticeably more three-dimensionalㅋㅋ
Me: Should I do lateral lower canthoplasty? -> Manager: You don’t need canthoplasty. Your pupils are small, so I don’t think you’d end up with the whites showing on all three sides.. Women can cover that with lenses and things.. Anyway, I don’t recommend lateral lower canthoplastyㅎㅎ Don’t try to do everything all at once; I recommend doing things step by step one by one.. First get the eye correction and under-eye fat repositioning done!!
Me: What about under-eye fat grafting?? -> Manager: Do fat grafting later after the under-eye procedure, depending on how things go.. I don’t think fat grafting is really necessary. Rather than fat grafting, I’d recommend filler.. For now, under-eye correction and eye correction are more urgentㅎㅎ
Me: The doctor recommended the septum, but personally I’m a little uneasy about using the septum.. Anyway, the septum is the pillar of the nose, and I don’t want to touch the nasal area as much as possible.. It feels uncomfortable because it’s connected to the nose’s function.. -> Manager: I also recommend autologous costal cartilage to my younger siblings and acquaintances rather than the septum. Patients often feel burdened by taking rib cartilage from the start, but I recommend autologous costal cartilage over ear cartilage
Manager: The hump isn’t that severe, so don’t shave it off, just smooth it a little -> Me: What’s the difference between smoothing the hump and shaving it? -> Manager: Shaving means literally shaving the hump away and removing it, while smoothing means thinking of it like sanding it with sandpaper.
Your nasal skin is thin and your columella is short, so don’t use silicone.. It shows through for certain celebrities too.. Natural is best..
Rather than just the hump, if the sides of the nasal bridge bone also need to be shaved when they open it up during surgery, then it would be good to shave them too.. You can only tell once they open it up, and if that ends up being necessary, it costs an additional 330,000 KRW (VAT included) separately..
Me: Eyes first?? Nose first?? -> Manager: Eyes firstㅇㅇ
(But even this differs from clinic to clinic.. Some places say eyes first, some places say nose firstㅋㅋㅋ)
The inferior turbinate mucosa?? that thing?? rhinitis?? surgery the doctor mentioned earlier is said to be done as a service.. (I didn’t quite understand what was being said..ㅜㅜ)
I decided to do the tip with autologous costal cartilage + slightly smooth the hump and fill it with ear cartilageㅎ
Watching the 3D virtual simulation of how I’d look after surgery, even raising just the tip changed my image completelyㅎㅎ I can’t wait to get surgery and see my changed selfㅎㅎ

Manager was really fun.. Of all the managers I’ve consulted with so far, the back-and-forth was the best and the consultation with the manager lasted the longest
