Week 2 Finally, in week 2, even the stitches inside my nose were removed. I also received the remaining swelling laser treatment/disinfection, and met the doctor. Today I had to take photos, so I put on a little makeup, but when I got to the clinic, the nurse told me that makeup at week 2 was a bit early. However, I was told it was okay as long as I removed it well, and after returning home, I removed it very carefully and gently with cleansing oil. Overall, the wounds have healed more than before, and now it does not hurt much even when touched, but I think I need to wait longer until enough time passes and everything heals completely. Also, there is still quite a bit of swelling around my eyes. The left side in particular is more severely swollen, and after lower canthoplasty, the lower eyelashes of my left eye roll inward, poke my eyeball, make me tear up, and are quite uncomfortable, so the doctor said we should observe it for a few months, and if the symptoms remain the same, we would need to remove the lower under-eye tissue to resolve it. I also mentioned that my nose seemed a bit crooked, and I was told to contact the clinic and come in if any problem or major situation occurs.
Also, the doctor told me to massage the under-eye area by rubbing it with my hand, so I plan to massage it a lot from now on.
3-week review
The swelling has gone down a lot, and compared to week 2, my face looks much better. However, I think the residual swelling still needs to go down more, and it was nice that I could wear light makeup. There are still small scars around the eyes, and because I keep touching the area more to remove eye discharge or debris from the inside, it is a little bothersome and on my mind, but I think I need to wait until it disappears. The under-eye eyelashes kept poking me, so I just plucked them out, and since then I hardly tear up and my eye feels comfortable. The conjunctival edema has also gone down a lot, and the clinic asked me to visit for a follow-up on March 2. I plan to keep monitoring my condition until then. The more I observe the progress, the more satisfied I seem to feel when I put on makeup.
