Ever since I was young, I thought my nose was unattractive and wanted nose surgery, but I felt that if I kept only thinking about it, I would never get it done in my life, so I decided to have rhinoplasty! My biggest stress was my low, round bulbous nose and the nasal tip that spread when I smiled
The line I wanted was a straight-to-slightly-curved line, something more natural than too flashy, a natural but glamorous style.. lol, and I brought photos of Oh Yeon-seo and Im Bora as examples when I went for consultations.
The clinic wasn’t big, but it was clean and systematic, which I liked, and the waiting time wasn’t that long. Among all the clinics I visited, I saw the most foreign patients there, so I wondered, is this a famous hotspot overseas..? It was divided between the 7th and 8th floors, so it wasn’t crowded and felt comfortable.
There was no pressure to pay a deposit, and during the consultation they reflected my opinions, but I wanted to choose a clinic where the director had their own conviction and did not focus only on my opinions. This clinic met all those conditions, the price was reasonable, and I felt I could trust them, so I chose it. From what acquaintances who had plastic surgery told me, when you go around to clinics, there’s somewhere where you just feel, this is the one! For me, this place gave me that feeling, so right after the consultation I paid the deposit and left.
Actually, the consultation with the manager was longer than the consultation with the director. (The manager in charge was so pretty and kind; she even showed me her own nose and explained the line,,) I consulted with the director, and during the consultation it really felt like he wanted to go home.. Still, while looking at my nose, he explained well what parts were needed, what parts were unnecessary, and what line would suit me. But I had surgery with a different director.. hehe
A week before surgery, I had the tests and my nose filler removed, and I’m currently on day 2 after rhinoplasty. The surgery was nasal bridge silicone + bulbous nose correction + ear cartilage used for the nasal tip. People say that after nose surgery it’s really hard because of the cotton inside the nose, but maybe because I’m the type who doesn’t bleed much, I’m living comfortably without cotton in my nose. On the day of surgery I was nervous, so even though I heard the explanations, they went in one ear and out the other, but they separately organized the precautions and explanations on paper, which was nice. They also packed extra gauze and a pack for cold and warm compresses! On the day of surgery, my throat hurt, my nose was blocked, and my head hurt, so I was out of it, but from the next day I had no pain and ate so well that the only real discomfort was facial swelling and having a lot of runny nose..? That’s about it. My face swelling is really severe.. I look like that meme of a dog stung by a bee, so I get startled every time I look in the mirror. I’m doing walks and compresses diligently..
The clinics where my acquaintances had nose surgery removed the cotton on day 3 and took off the splint at one week, but here they disinfected the inside of my nose the next day and gave me an antibiotic injection too! They do aftercare thoroughly. I have to go again today to get another shot, which is a bit annoying..
I still have the splint on so I don’t know yet, but the nasal tip I can see when I remove the gauze is lifted, so I’m excited hehe. I want to get the splint and stitches removed quickly, see my remodeled nose, put on makeup, and go around
