Honestly, my face itself is on the small side, but my nose looked relatively large, and having a dorsal hump on top of that made everything feel like a complete mess, sob. After getting rhinoplasty at [Clinic A] this time, the areas that had bothered me for a long time were greatly improved, so my satisfaction is genuinely high. Rather than simply making my nose small and slender, I wanted the overall proportions balanced to suit my face, with the hump refined naturally, and I think the result came out exactly as I had hoped.
I wanted a natural-yet-refined nose. When I consulted another clinic, I was told that creating the tip shape I wanted might be difficult with ear cartilage alone, so at first I wondered whether ear cartilage would fail to give me the look I wanted. Here, however, the doctor examined my nose directly and said that because my skin was not particularly thick, it seemed possible to achieve the desired direction sufficiently with ear cartilage. I liked that they did not make the surgery bigger by adding unnecessary procedures, but instead pointed out exactly what my nose needed.
What was really interesting was how different my nose looked as the swelling went down. At two weeks to one month, there was still swelling around the tip and bridge, so it looked a little more defined and glamorous than I had imagined. Then, as the swelling clearly decreased around the two-month mark, it blended naturally with my face without looking like my nose was sticking out separately. Before surgery, I worried whether the natural-yet-refined look I had imagined would suit my actual face, but the nose turned out better than expected, which surprised me too. I am also happy that ear cartilage could create this kind of result, and above all, I think it was the right decision to have the surgery tailored to my face without being overly ambitious.
