During my first surgery, ear cartilage was used to maintain the height of the nasal tip, but over time the cartilage was absorbed and its support weakened, causing the tip to droop repeatedly. Ear cartilage is soft and natural, but I regret not sufficiently considering beforehand that it lacks the strength to firmly support the tip and may lose height or droop over time. Eventually, as the tip changed and the overall balance collapsed, I began planning revision surgery at another hospital. This time, rather than a simple cartilage graft, I want to focus on rebuilding a strong columellar support using a material with definite structural strength, such as autologous costal cartilage or septal cartilage. Since this is revision surgery, I am carefully looking for a specialist who can accurately analyze the cause of the first surgery's failure and achieve both support and naturalness.
