My face was originally broad and angular, and I also had asymmetry, so I was stressed every time I took photos. From the front, one side of my facial line looked more prominent, and the overall angularity from my cheekbones to my jaw made me look somewhat fierce. At first I wondered if I only needed the most noticeable procedure, either cheekbone or square-jaw reduction, but my thoughts changed after consulting with Director Lee Ji-hyeok at [Clinic A]. He looked at the cheekbone width, square jaw, and chin position together on the CT scan and explained that asymmetry should be assessed across the connected overall line, not just one area. So I had three-part facial contouring: cheekbone reduction, square-jaw reduction, and chin surgery. I wanted the broad and angular areas to be naturally refined rather than making my face unconditionally small and pointed. Now the first thing I notice is that my outer facial line itself looks softer than before. The feeling of one protrusion at the cheekbones and another angle at the jaw has diminished, so my face looks much more polished from the front. The asymmetry I was always concerned about no longer stands out dramatically on just one side, so I am satisfied. Of course, no one's face becomes perfectly identical on both sides, but it no longer catches my eye before anything else the way it did in old photos. I feel it was a good decision to include the chin, because if I had only reduced the square jaw, the very bottom of my lower face would probably still have looked blunt. Now the flow from my cheekbones to my chin connects naturally, making my whole face shape feel unified. At first I deliberated a lot about whether having three-part contouring in my early twenties was right, but I had been stressed about my face shape for years anyway, and seeing the result now, I have no regrets.
