I decided to undergo surgery for the dorsal hump that had bothered me my whole life, and while researching various clinics, I happened to learn about Oblivie Plastic Surgery, a clinic recommended by an acquaintance. I wanted a nose that was “absolutely natural, with only the hump improved,” and visited after trusting reviews saying Dr. Da-ahn Kim creates beautiful, natural results without implants. At other consultations, most doctors only looked at the “shape of the nose” I wanted, but Dr. Da-ahn was the only one who considered my overall facial harmony, proportions, and facial asymmetry. I had the hump filed down slightly, and the bridge raised subtly using septal cartilage, ear cartilage, and dermis. They also carefully addressed my naturally crooked nose, deviated septum, and pinched-looking alar area. The doctor was very kind, and the staff were also kind and meticulous, so I felt comfortable proceeding. For about two weeks after surgery I had bruising, a runny nose, and congestion, but from the two-week mark it was comfortable enough that I almost forgot I had surgery. After the surgery, my naturally prominent mouth also looked more recessed, which gave me more confidence in my profile. I had deliberated for a very long time, but I’m so satisfied that I regret not doing it sooner. It’s only been a month, so there is still swelling, but I’m excited to see how pretty it will become once more of it goes down!
