For my first surgery, I used no implant material (septal cartilage, ear cartilage, postauricular fascia), but I developed a step-off on the nasal bridge, nostril asymmetry, and discomfort breathing through one nostril, so I’m looking into revision surgery.. I want an extremely natural look and care a lot about nasal function, so this time I’ve mainly been looking at ENT clinics. So far, the places I’ve narrowed down are:
ㅇㅇㅌ(plastic surgery) : The consultation was good, but I’m passing because functional treatment isn’t covered by insurance reimbursement, and the price is also a bit high
ㅊㄷㅊ (ENT) : The consultation was good and I thought it was the strongest candidate, but when I looked up reviews from when the director was at ㅋㅋㄹㅇ, there were quite a few negative reviews, and there seem to be many cases of a pale/whitened-looking nose, so I’m worried.. My nostrils are already uneven now
ㅅㅍㅅ (ENT) : I first found out about it on YouTube, and the few app reviews looked decent, so I booked a consultation, but no matter how much I looked, there were too few cases and too little information. I also saw a lot of bad reviews somewhere else, so I canceled the consultation
ㅂㄷㄴ(formerly ㅋㄴㅍ) (ENT) : This place has been famous here for a long time, so I was briefly interested in it during my first surgery too. Since it’s been around a long time, there are many good and bad reviews, so I’m still not sure. Consultation scheduled this week
ㅂㅌㅇ (plastic surgery) The reviews look okay and the price range seems relatively low, with a consultation scheduled next week. If functional insurance reimbursement isn’t possible, it’s out, but I’m wondering whether I absolutely need to do the functional part right now, so I’m keeping it on hold for now. It bothers me a little that I can’t find the doctor’s educational background
Seriously... after getting to the point of revision surgery and doing so much online research, visiting hospitals, and digging through reviews, what I think is: There doesn’t seem to be a perfect hospital.. It’s good when a director has a long career, but the longer the career, the more negative reviews there are too. Also, rhinoplasty results vary so much by individual that there seem to be cases where you can’t necessarily blame the doctor.. So there’s no guarantee that good reviews or bad reviews will apply to me, which makes choosing a hospital even harderㅠㅠ
People whose surgery went well and who are living fine probably won’t even come in here.. But if anyone has surgical experience or knows reviews about the hospitals above, please let me knowㅠ Things like results or their attitude toward aftercare..
If you know an ENT-focused place that uses autologous costal cartilage and is good at matching the nasal bridge and nostril symmetry, I’d be grateful if you could drop the hospital infoㅠ
