<My nose> I have a very slight hump, and it’s not like I have no nasal bridge at all, but my nasal tip is bulky, so from the front it just looks like a bulbous nose
<The nose I wanted> It didn’t have to be a huge change. Just a natural-looking correction of a bulbous nose? I had some resistance toward implants.
<Consultations> I went around to 3 places for consultations, and two of them didn’t have CT scans. The common points were that they recommended 1.5-2 mm silicone, hump shaving, and donated costal cartilage My goal wasn’t big, and if it was only going to be raised by 1.5-2 mm, I thought... I’d rather just not put it in, so I looked for another hospital
The place I decided on could do a CT consultation, and they said on CT that my septal cartilage was on the larger side, so they recommended implant-free surgery using septal cartilage + ear cartilage, and I did it! They said the hump wasn’t enough to shave down, and that lightly sanding it a little would be enough
<First day> I couldn’t sleep even a wink.. It wasn’t so much painful as just throbbing a bit (no ear pain), and my mouth kept getting dry, so I woke up every hour.. Truly a day of suffering ㅠ
<Second day> They removed the cotton right away at the hospital, and even after removing the cotton, it kept alternating between being blocked and not blocked, but it was still much better than when it was packed I still can’t taste anything
<Third day> It’s even less blocked than yesterday! I’m starting to taste things little by little too I felt this when I got double eyelid surgery too, but I think my face doesn’t really swell much. (The photo is day 3!)
There’s still swelling, so I can’t be sure of the exact line yet, but from what I can roughly feel, I already like it! And more than anything, I thought 100 times that I’m glad I didn’t go to the places that recommended silicone.. Even with implant-free surgery now, the shape I wanted came out enough, and if it had been raised any more from here, I seriously would’ve looked like Avatar,.. haha
