First, to describe my nose condition.. I had a hump nose and had surgery to correct a deviated septum before, but after that, my nasal tip and nasal bridge felt like they had drooped more.. So even though cosmetic surgery is new to me, while looking for places that could do septal reconstruction, I ended up mainly visiting revision-surgery clinics.. I also went around to general plastic surgery clinics, but I’m excluding those and will write reviews mainly of revision specialists: 1 place in Busan and 3 in Seoul. I even went to an ENT clinic, but I think cosmetic surgery is better done at a plastic surgery clinic, so I’ll leave that out. 1. ㅅㄱㄴ Plastic Surgery (Busan) It’s a small-scale clinic, so there is one specialist, and they tend to give detailed consultations..! Usually, the revision-surgery clinics I visited had one director, and they all had that kindness? of explaining things in detail.. I don’t know many people around me who have had nose surgery, so I studied on YouTube and went to hospitals that I thought had decent information. Because I wanted to have surgery safely, I asked about the possibility of side effects that can occur with septal reconstruction or rhinoplasty, and I was grateful that they honestly told me that during septal reconstruction, the airway where air passes can become narrower, making breathing more uncomfortable than before. It was good, but I still feel like rhinoplasty would be better in Seoul, so I’ll just mention it briefly and move on..! 2. ㄷㅎㄷ Plastic Surgery From here on, Seoul..! This clinic is run by Director ㅇㅈㅎ, who is from ㅂㄹㅇ Plastic Surgery. He has more than 10 years of experience, and rather than being extremely famous, I know him as a director who values safety, so there was a trustworthy aspect.. 3. ㄷㅇㅇ Plastic Surgery Not the famous ㄷ에ㅇ, but ㄷ아ㅇ Plastic Surgery. Here too, the director explained things well in detail. When I went for my consultation, there were one or two? or a group? of foreign patients who had had surgery. They suggested that since I would be having rhinoplasty using autologous costal cartilage, I could also do a paranasal augmentation for my sunken nasolabial fold area using the harvested autologous costal cartilage as material. They also recommended fat grafting for areas like my sunken forehead, though not necessarily right away! For reference, all the clinics I’m talking about today included septal reconstruction, where the collapsed septum is reinforced with autologous costal cartilage..! 4. ㅇㅇㅂ Plastic Surgery This is a clinic that’s recently becoming popular and is known for doing men’s rhinoplasty well..! Among the clinics I’m talking about today, it’s the only large hospital, and I had a consultation with Director ㅇㅈㅎ. Compared with the three above, the consultation was simple and brief, and unlike the first clinic I went to, they said functional discomfort or side effects after surgery due to septal reconstruction or osteotomy would not occur..! Actually, at every clinic I consulted in Seoul, I was told there wouldn’t be much functional loss. Since it’s a clinic many young people? go to, I got the feeling that they would at least make the shape pretty, so I’m most drawn to it. I also asked about things like paranasal augmentation, and they said it wasn’t particularly necessary. I also liked that they explained that areas like the nasolabial angle would naturally improve together as the nose improves.
