I have a deviated septum, and since it felt like a waste of my nasal cartilage, I went around for consultations to try rhinoplasty as well. The places I visited were The Nan, Mark, Simmi An, Light, etc. The Nan had a very long wait for reservations, as expected, and the other places were available right away.
Features) The Nan - Famous for revision surgery. It’s the place I thought would probably have the most skill. It was the only place that took photos of my face in advance before the consultation. It was also the only place that touched my nose... And they showed me roughly how it would look raised using Photoshop. It felt a bit professional. In the end, the hospital did not recommend surgery. They said my satisfaction would be low (I have severe facial asymmetry). The cost was around 3.5 million won. The noses of the front desk staff and consultation manager were all pretty.
Mark - A place newly opened by the director. Honestly, I chose it because I liked the vibe of the director’s photo. His impression also looked professional. But even though it would be my first surgery, he recommended donated costal cartilage (The Nan said ear cartilage, and that they would see during surgery whether costal cartilage would be used). That made me hesitate a bit. The cost was around 4 million won.
Simmi An - This place can operate as an ENT clinic, so I heard it offers the most coverage through indemnity insurance. The director seemed somewhat older, and I thought it could be a decent option if considering the septum as well, but I didn’t choose it because I didn’t like the consultation manager’s nose (of course, she may have had it done elsewhere...).
Light - Unlike the other places, they said they raise the nose with autologous fat. They said it could be slightly uneven, but there are no side effects. The manager’s nose was done that way, and it looked okay. The doctor is a woman. I’m hesitating because there isn’t much information or many reviews about autologous fat.
That’s it~~ For more consultations, I’m currently thinking about Mizak and B&Young. Mizak noses are flashy and strong-looking, and B&Young’s doctor is from Seoul National University and is said to be highly skilled.
