It’s been a day since I got lateral canthoplasty on 1/31~ For the clinic info, I worked really hard going around to consultations, booked right before Lunar New Year, and had my consultation. It was originally scheduled for 2/16, but since I’m also preparing for my wedding, the consultant said she’d contact me if there was a canceled slot. I’m so thankful she contacted me, so I was able to move it up by about 2 weeksㅠㅠ The consultant is the best
On the day of surgery, I arrived at the clinic feeling so, so nervous and waited, but it got delayed more than expected. I arrived at 11 and went into surgery around 12:40? Before going in, I met the doctor and while designing the plan, he asked if I had any questions or concerns, so I asked him, and he was so kindㅠㅠ So even though I was nervous, I trusted the doctor and went into the operating room. He drew the design with blue ink and said, “I’ll start the anesthesia~” Then I fell asleep instantly and woke up about 5 minutes later.
I could see the whole surgical process and feel the pulling sensation, but it wasn’t particularly scary or gross. In the middle, the anesthesia wore off a little bit and there were some painful spots, so I went “Ahㅠ!” and made a sound. Seeing the doctor ask, “Does it hurtㅠㅠ?” and give me an injection made me feel even more reassuredㅠ..
So I lay down in the operating room around 12:50, stayed in the recovery room for a bit, and when I came out it was around 3:50. I looked in the mirror, and rather than thinking it looked gross, I was really looking forward to how I’ll look once the swelling goes down. I hope the day comes soon when the stitches are removed and the swelling has gone down haha I hope this review helps everyone! Right now there’s a bit of swelling so it might look gross, so I’ll skip the photos!
