Double eyelid surgery consultation review. I went around this Monday and Tuesday, and now that I’m writing the review today, some parts are a bit fuzzy.
1. ㅍ-ㅈㄱㅅ There were so many people that it felt hectic The consultant was kind, and the doctor was also kind and explained things well Upper canthoplasty, ptosis correction, in-out line, non-incisional buried sutures, for around 1.4 million won?? They said I could get a review discount if I wanted, but I said I wouldn’t because writing posts on a cafe felt burdensome... (this community is the first plastic surgery cafe/community I’ve joined and written in, so I’m not confident about review posts) They said I didn’t need an incision and that it could be done with buried sutures
2. ㄴㅅㅎ-ㄱㄷㅎ Here too, the consultation just moved quickly; they asked me to show photos of the eye shape I wanted and only quickly consulted on the necessary parts. Ptosis correction, medial epicanthoplasty possible if wanted, partial incision, fat removal Excluding medial epicanthoplasty, it was around 1.8 million won
3. ㅂㅍ It was a one-doctor clinic, and they recommended incision + lateral canthoplasty on one eye Since only this place recommended incision and lateral canthoplasty, I excluded it They said ptosis correction wasn’t necessary. Consultation fee 10,000 won
4. ㅋㄹㅁ It was a one-doctor clinic, and after really quickly looking at my eyes, they only told me what I needed. Ptosis correction + partial incision + upper canthoplasty was around 3 million won, and if I booked surgery that day and left a review, it could be about 600,000 won cheaper, so around 2.4 million won
5. ㅋㅇㅍㄹㅅ-ㄱㅅㅇ I went here because it was recommended, and the doctor pinched out the eye line and seemed to look at my eyes overall. They said a high line wasn’t possible because of my eye structure. Fat removal + partial incision, and since I said I came by recommendation, it was around 2.2 million won?? I don’t remember for sure. They said ptosis correction wasn’t necessary. Consultation fee 10,000 won
6. ㅈㄷ It was a one-doctor clinic, and they said I only needed buried sutures. They said ptosis correction and canthoplasty weren’t necessary, so I was tempted!! I absolutely hate sausage eyes, so I said it was okay if the line was low and asked them to do only what was possible. The price was around 1.8 million won?? In a way, since it’s only buried sutures without other options, this seems the most expensive. They said there was no separate review event. I’m thinking of just doing it here, but since other clinics said I needed various things, I’m starting to worry whether it can really be done with only buried sutures....
Honestly, after going to the fifth clinic, the surgical methods were all different, so I wondered whether I should just not get double eyelid surgery and live with my natural eyes. For the sixth one, I even wondered whether I should just skip the consultation, but I went because wasting the reservation felt like a shame. I’ve seen reviews about side effects from ptosis correction, so I don’t want to get ptosis correction... but 3 places said it wasn’t needed and 3 places said it was needed...ㅠㅠ I wondered whether I should just not do it. At the last consultation, they firmly said it was possible with buried sutures only and that nothing else was needed, so I felt relieved but also worried, like is that really true??ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ I still think it’s better for the buried sutures to come undone than to get side effects from ptosis correction, so I booked surgery at the sixth place, but I’m still worriedㅜㅜㅋㅋㅋㅋ
