I had never even thought about getting nose surgery in my life, but after double-jaw surgery, I inevitably had no choice but to get nose surgery, so now I'm working hard going around for consultations and researching online... sigh. After double-jaw surgery, my nasal septum got completely damaged, so I can't use other materials, and I've been recommended an all-costal-cartilage approach.
First: ㅇㄷ, Director Choi I don't know about anything else, but he was so sweet. It was a clinic with no people waiting, but I had to wait about an hour for no reason, so I was a bit annoyed, but I melted like snow because of the director's so-sweet consultation skills. He explained my crooked nose, philtrum position, nose shape, and intranasal condition extremely thoroughly. But the overly extensive surgery list? I don't have rhinitis, but they kept telling me to claim it through private insurance as rhinitis, and it felt like they were raising the fees, so I passed for now.
Second: ㅇㅇㅂ, Director Kim He specializes in a refined-yet-glamorous nose, and there were a lot of review photos with the nose shape I wanted, so I went in with high expectations. I waited so, so, so, so!!!!!!!! long. After waiting an hour, the director still wasn't finished with surgery, so I waited long enough that I went to another clinic consultation and came back. I finally met the director after all that, but as soon as he saw me, he said it would be a bit of a shame to do nose surgery and that it wasn't really a case that would improve dramatically, and then still said, “But I think it would be good if you do it” << and ended the consultation with just that... huh?
Third: ㅋㅇ, Director Kim There was almost no wait, and the director's consultation was detailed. He personally took nose photos and even made an after image with Photoshop, which was nice, but the clinic atmosphere was chaotic, and the nursing assistants in front of the desk and the overall vibe of the clinic felt a bit off, so I just passed on this place. The nose shapes in the reviews also weren't my style, so pass.
Fourth: ㄷㅇㅇ, Director I watched their YouTube and thought they seemed good at autologous costal cartilage, so I went almost as if I were spellbound, but this place was an immediate pass....... The director seems skilled, but the things both the director and consultant said during consultation just didn't match my vibe. (personal preference)
Fifth: ㅍㄹㅁㅇ, Director Choi He's famous for specializing in glamorous noses, and I liked the noses in the review photos too. Among all the directors, he explained the before and after the most clearly. He told me exactly what would improve and even what would not improve. He was the only one who recommended donated costal cartilage along with autologous costal cartilage, saying there wasn't a big difference between the two. (I'm going to use autologous costal cartilage though.) As rumored, there were tons of people, and while I was waiting for my consultation, someone finished nose surgery and came out, and another person was going in. But there are also other rumors about this place, so I'm putting it on hold for now.
That's it so far, and honestly none of them felt exactly right, so I'm thinking of going to ㄱㄹㄷ and ㄹㅅㅍ one more time. With other plastic surgeries, I really felt “this is my clinic” within 3 places, but why is nose surgery like this...?
If anyone knows a place that's good at nose surgery using autologous costal cartilage, please recommend it. (Please.) For reference, I currently put down deposits at ㅇㅇㅂ and ㅍㄹㅁㅇ. (ㅇㅇㅂ is general anesthesia, ㅍㄹㅁㅇ is sedation anesthesia.)
Is there anyone here who had successful, somewhat glamorous nose surgery using autologous costal cartilage at a place with an anesthesiology specialist and CCTV available for monitoring..? I'm going crazy from worrying. Help me~~~~~~~~
