Long-Nose Revision Rhinoplasty, 1 Month Post-Op

It has been one month since I had revision rhinoplasty with silicone + septal cartilage + ear cartilage at Obli Plastic Surgery. About 8 years after my first nose surgery, before I knew it my nose had started to droop And because the silicone was thin and inserted starting from the high glabella area, my nose looked too thin and long. Especially when I smiled, the tip dropped even more, so the arrow-shaped nose was severe. So I gathered my courage and started looking into revision rhinoplasty. Since my first surgery failed, I was even more worried about the revision, so I ended up researching much more carefully. After consulting at many clinics, I chose Obli Plastic Surgery. The reason I chose Obli Plastic Surgery was first because Director Kim Da-alm was really kind during the consultation. One phrase that always appears in reviews of Obli Plastic Surgery is, “The director is kind,” and that was really true. And instead of saying everything could be done no matter what, the director realistically explained the limits, saying what could be done and what could not, which made me trust them even more. After the consultation and before the surgery day, I was actually very worried I think people who had revision surgery will especially relate. The feeling of not wanting to fail again With those worries, the surgery day came. On the day, I consulted with the director again, signed the surgical consent form, and got on the operating table. I was nervous, and the operating room was cold, so my body was shaking, but a nurse gave me a pack filled with warm water, which helped me relax and warmed my body up. The nurses were also really kind. And I was grateful that the director kept talking to me to help me relax. I had the surgery feeling comfortable like that, and when the anesthesia wore off, the surgery was over. Right after surgery, they took photos of my nose shape, so I could check the nasal line right away, which was nice. Two days later, they removed the packing, and a week later they took off the splint and removed the stitches from my nose and ear. I was worried the stitch removal would hurt too, but the nurse did it carefully, so it didn’t hurt at all! Right after the splint came off, there was swelling, but I was really amazed to see that the drooped nose tip I most wanted fixed had improved! About two days after removing the splint, the area between my eyebrows was a little swollen, so I contacted the manager, and they immediately set up an appointment. The director checked on my nose for three days and also made sure I got antibiotic injections. Thanks to that, the swollen area went down well too. Instead of just saying it was swelling and telling me to wait, they paid attention, so I felt they were really responsible even after surgery. Just like the name “Obli,” it really feels like a plastic surgery clinic that fulfills its “responsibility.” Now, one month later, the bruising on the bridge of my nose still hasn’t fully gone away, so there is still a bit of swelling, but I’m satisfied because the drooped nose tip I wanted to improve has improved. Before the revision, I always covered my nose with my hand when taking photos, but now I can take pictures confidently while smiling without covering it, and I really like that.! I think I’ll be even more satisfied once the swelling goes down more and the bruising disappears.
