Review of my formerly puffy jawline before double-chin liposuction

I am posting my before-and-after photos from before and after double-chin liposuction! It was not that I hated selfies because of my double chin; I really hated photos other people took of me lol. With selfies, I knew my good angle, so if I lifted my chin slightly, they looked okay to some degree. But when friends suddenly took photos of me, I often wondered whether under my chin had always been that puffy. What was more frustrating was that even when I lost weight, there was not much difference under my chin. My cheeks seemed to slim a little, but the volume under my chin stayed the same, making only the lower part of my face look oddly heavy. So even when I was deliberating over double-chin liposuction, I did not have huge expectations T_T. I mostly just hoped the boundary between my jaw and neck would show a little from the side lol. Right after it, there was swelling, and when I touched under my chin, the sensation itself felt different from usual. For several days, whenever I looked in the mirror, I looked only at my chin rather than my face lol. I kept checking, wondering, “Did it get a little smaller today..?” T_T. But interestingly, I noticed the difference in photos before I did in the mirror. At two weeks after double-chin liposuction, I compared before-and-after photos, and the difference showed better from the side than from the front. Rather than my face suddenly seeming much smaller, the area from the tip of my chin to my neck looked less blunt than before? This area had always stressed me out, so even this degree of difference felt quite significant. Early on, swelling did not go down equally on both sides, and there were areas that felt slightly firm to the touch. So when I looked in the mirror every day, I wondered whether anything had changed; but when I pulled out photos from a week earlier for comparison, there were subtle changes again lol. Rather than feeling like I had become a completely different person, the biggest thing was that the area that had bothered me every time I took photos for years was less bothersome than before. So for anyone looking at before-and-after double-chin liposuction photos, I recommend also looking at profile photos and photos with the head slightly lowered instead of only front-view photos. I could see the difference better in those photos, actually lol. Even now, when I occasionally look at old photos, I notice beneath my chin before my face; each time, I think to myself, “Ah lol, this is why I had it done...”
