Eye Surgery Reviews

Day 7 after non-incisional double-eyelid surgery~! I also had canthoplasty~~

Before surgery, the outer ends of my double-eyelid creases had almost completely come undone, and my eyes also tended to look short horizontally. Especially when I relaxed my eyes, I looked a little sleepy, and it stressed me out that my eyes looked more cramped in photos than they actually were T_T. At first, I thought I simply needed non-incisional double-eyelid surgery, but after consulting in person, they said it would be better for my eyes to address the way they opened as well as create a crease. So I was advised to create double-eyelid creases with a non-incisional method, combine it with ptosis correction, and slightly open the cramped feeling at the outer corners with dual canthoplasty. I also asked friends who had already had surgery about all sorts of things and looked up a huge number of review photos. The more I looked, the clearer it became what styles I disliked lol. Double-eyelid creases that were too thick, eyes that suddenly looked excessively large, or an eye shape lowered so excessively that you could immediately tell posterior canthoplasty had been done were not my preference. I told the surgeon I did not like those aspects, and the surgeon's style also felt focused on designing only what my eyes needed rather than indiscriminately adding procedures to make a drastic change, which reassured me. But once I chose the clinic, I started worrying about surgery again T_T. The day before surgery, I kept looking up reviews and even swelling photos. Since it was my first surgery, I was scared of pain, but more than that, my biggest worry was looking in the mirror after surgery and suddenly looking like I was not myself. I wondered if I had become greedy and whether I should just live with my current eyes; I think I had so many thoughts right up until surgery. Right after my eye surgery, there was naturally swelling and the area around my eyes felt unfamiliar, so I could not think straight when I first looked in the mirror. Still, thankfully, my eyes did not suddenly look fierce or make me feel like a completely different person as I had worried. It has now been exactly about one week since my surgery at [Clinic A]! There is still swelling, so I do not think my current double-eyelid crease is the final result, and it looks especially more swollen in the morning. It is also too early to say that the dual-canthoplasty side has become completely natural, so I am being as careful as possible, avoiding touching it, and watching my progress. Still, compared with my preoperative photos, the cramped eye shape seems a little more open, and I can definitely see a clearer look when I open my eyes haha. What I am most curious about now is how my eye shape will settle when all the swelling goes down T_T. It has only been one week, so I am very curious how much thinner the crease will become and how natural the dual-canthoplasty area will get. At one week, does the swelling seem to be going down okay at this level?? Could you please take a look and tell me whether the crease seems to have turned out well too? T_T
