I'm going around to consultations for revision rhinoplasty.. After visiting several places, I'm actually more confused. One clinic recommends autologous costal cartilage, another recommends donated rib cartilage, or ear cartilage.. They say if my autologous costal cartilage is calcified and can't be used, they'll use donated rib cartilage, but if I get the autologous costal cartilage checked and then can't use it, I'll just end up with a scar, so would it be better to use donated rib cartilage from the start? They do say donated rib cartilage can be absorbed.. Going to several clinics has actually left me feeling unsettled.
And I saw a clinic where the cost for autologous costal cartilage alone was over several million won. Is that real? Should I avoid clinics where the revision rhinoplasty cost comes close to ten million won.. I have even more to think about now.
