I got jaw Botox for the third time. It was my first procedure, so I was really scared of things like cheek hollowing and a peanut-shaped face, but I went to get it from a clinic director I found through YouTube.
In conclusion, I thought my square jaw wouldn’t improve because it was all bone, but it turned out my masseter muscles were extremely enlarged. Even if it’s not quite a V-line, my face has become almost V-shaped.
As for side effects, my jaw makes clicking sounds, and I use the muscles around my trapezius instead, so it feels a bit stiff and my head aches slightly. Other than that, I have no cheek hollowing or peanut-shaped face at all, so I’m planning to get it regularly.
I’ve had it three times now, and I am worried about developing resistance, but I still plan to keep getting it. Since I was young, my square jaw had bothered me, so I’m glad it was resolved. But when it comes back, it’s hard having to hold off until the next Botox because I’m worried about resistance.
+ Biggest side effect: my nasolabial folds got worse ㅠㅠㅠㅠ. I guess my jaw muscles had been keeping my already elasticity-lost skin taut.
