My nose is definitely not on the low side, but they said my septal cartilage is too small, so I’d need to use costal cartilageㅠㅠ When I consulted with the director, we talked about donated costal cartilage, but after the director left and I spoke with the consultant, she recommended autologous costal cartilage… I’ve heard from other hospitals too that my septal cartilage is small, but most recommended donated costal cartilage or external materials like AlloDerm or MegaDerm. Since they suddenly brought up autologous costal cartilage, I’m a bit torn… First of all, what worries me most is that even cutting only the nose feels burdensome, but cutting into the rib cage too seems so risky, and I’m also worried about warping. Most importantly, the price was eye-poppingly expensive… My budget was under 5 million won, but the moment I choose donated costal cartilage, it’s almost 8 million and chaos… I’m seriously so conflicted.
