It's been over 10 years since silicone was inserted into my nasal bridge, and during that time, in the 6th, 8th, and 9th years, my nasal bridge swelled and developed red and bluish swelling like it was bruised. It causes a throbbing pain and looks very unsightly. When there are warning signs, if I go to the hospital right away, get antibiotics, and take medication, it settles down within 1-2 weeks. But the stress of not knowing when it will recur again is really, really huge. But then again, if I get revision surgery, I really don't want to go through surgery itself, and I don't want to just remove the silicone, so I looked into things like costal cartilage and autologous dermis, but they all have drawbacks, so I'm really conflicted.. It had been having inflammatory reactions periodically at intervals of about a year and a half, but this time there has been no news for over two and a half years.. Sometimes I think maybe I should just leave it alone without touching it, but then I worry it might happen again, so I think maybe I should just get revision surgery while I'm at it. My mind changes several times a day. What do you think.. I don't exactly like the shape of my nose, but if I don't get greedy, it's okay as it is..
