I recently visited ㄷㄹ in Apgujeong for a consultation and am leaving a review. I went because two of my friends said they had it done here.
As soon as I arrived, the manager didn’t ask about my complexes or the eyes I wanted, and while I was still wearing a mask, she just immediately made a semi-out line.
I said I wanted something natural like an inline to in-out line and that I didn’t want to change much from my original face, but she said I’d regret it later and that if I was doing it once, I should make it higher. She said the director specializes in this line... After roughly looking at me, the manager gave me an estimate for non-incisional double eyelid surgery, epicanthoplasty, and fat removal.
I went in for a consultation with Director ㅅㅎㅅ, and there was one more doctor there. I wondered if they were observing? As expected, as soon as I arrived, without asking what kind of eyes I wanted, while I was still wearing a mask, he immediately made a semi-out line. I had gone because two of my friends said he had magic hands, but at that moment I remembered that both of their lines were similar, and thought, so that’s why.
Rather than considering the overall harmony of the face, it felt like the director just starts by making the semi-out line he’s good at.
For people who want a semi-out line that floats a bit from the inner corner of the eye, I think he would make it prettily, but for me, my overall facial harmony doesn’t suit a semi-out line in the first place... so I just gave up.
That said, the two friends who had it done here did get eyes that opened up refreshingly in an Instagram-like way, so I think opinions will differ depending on one’s preferred plastic surgery style. For me, I truly prefer it to look like I barely had anything done and to correct only my complexes as minimally as possible, so I don’t think it matched me.
