I had consultations because my nasal bridge is high but I have a slightly upturned nose.
I went to three places: ㅇㅁㅇㅍㅁ, ㅎㅇㅂ, and ㅎㅌ. At ㅇㅁㅇㅍㅁ, the doctor was very confident. They said if they lift the alar base and lower the nasal tip with ear cartilage, it would be soft and squishy like my own nose. The price was in the mid-5 million won range.
At ㅎㅇㅂ, they said lowering the nasal tip cannot be done with ear cartilage. Since I have a history of septal deviation surgery, they said donor costal cartilage would have to be used. They also said lifting the alar base cannot raise the tip point of the nostril/alar area. Their technique seemed a bit lacking. The cost was in the low-to-mid 3 million won range.
I went to ㅎㅌ because they’re known for alar lift, and as expected, they also said ear cartilage would not work for the nasal tip and donor costal cartilage would be needed. Nasal tip surgery was in the low 3 million won range, but since my nasal bridge is on the high side, they said I probably don’t need nasal tip surgery and that alar lift plus nostril reduction would be enough. If done this way, it would be in the high 1 million won range.
Among the three, I was leaning a bit toward ㅇㅁㅇㅍㅁ because they would use ear cartilage and seemed the most confident despite being expensive, but after reading premium reviews in the community, I gave up on it. I started leaning toward ㅎㅌ, but that place also seems to have many scar issues Even during the consultation, they said there wouldn’t be absolutely no scar, so... I’m worried.. I plan to go for consultations at a few more places, including ㅁㅌ and ㄹㅋㅋ.
