It’s a revision rhinoplasty, and the day after, I went to have the cotton packing removed. After removing the cotton, they put this thing made of silicone? material into my nostrils and told me to keep it in for a week if possible without taking it out. When I asked why I had to wear it, they said something like to prevent the mucosa from closing up? I think that’s what they said. I didn’t do this during my first surgery, and among all the reviews I’ve seen, I’ve never seen anyone wearing something like this.. Does anyone know what this is?? I’m worried it might just make my nostrils bigger for no reasonㅡㅡ

I developed inflammation 2 weeks after nose surgery, so I took antibiotics, and at week 4 I had the silicone removed. But there is still an inflammatory reaction, so I’m looking into complete removal ㅠㅠ The clinic says we should keep trying
