I had the silicone removed at ㅍㄹㅁ and had the nasal tip redone with septal cartilage. They said there was no inflammation, but I wonder if, if I had left it longer, the silicone might have pierced through the skin and come out.. It hasn’t even been 3 weeks since surgery yet, so I can’t say it turned out perfectly or anything.. But judging only by the condition so far, I’m satisfied.
They said I removed it less than a year after surgery, so the capsule had not formed properly. They showed me the silicone and the donated costal cartilage and ear cartilage they removed from the nasal tip, and there wasn’t much of the costal cartilage or ear cartilage left, maybe because it had been absorbed;;
It’s one of the hospitals called one of the “top 3 for removal,” so I wondered if they were only good at removal, but the director was really serious about shaping the nasal tip.. lol From the front cheek area, cheekbones, horizontal facial width, the length from the nasal tip to the chin, to the nasal bridge line continuing from the forehead, they looked at everything so thoroughly that I wondered if they really check all this just for one nose. I decided because I thought, if it comes out exactly the way this person describes, it would be a real success, and I think I made the right choice.
I was kind of a difficult patient.. Even after booking the surgery, I kept contacting the consultant, whining every day like, “It’ll really turn out well, right?”... Even while the taping was on, I whined that the nasal bridge looked kind of bulky, asking if it was square-shaped.. But I liked it from the moment the taping was removed. They said there is still swelling left in the nasal tip, but it doesn’t feel blunt at all.. I especially really like the front view!
A lot of people worry about contraction after removal (myself included), but if you’re redoing the nasal tip like me, I think you don’t have to worry. Still, it’s been such a short time since surgery, so I won’t jump to conclusions! I’m going to keep watching it.. After about two or three months? I guess it’ll enter the stable period then? I’ll try posting photos then too!!
