I had double jaw surgery at the largest university hospital in Korea. It wasn’t for cosmetic purposes; I had it because my cleft lip and palate were severe. For the first 2 months after the surgery, I honestly thought I was going to die, and I think the swelling lasted for almost over a year. Then around the time I went to the military, it all went down and settled into place. It’s major surgery, so you really need to think carefully about it.
