Hello everyone. In January 2024, I had my first surgery: 5 mm silicone, septal cartilage, ear cartilage, additional ear cartilage...? Alar reduction, etc. Because of anxiety, I want to have it removed T_T
I visited [Clinic A], [Clinic B] ([Doctor A]), [Clinic C], [Clinic D], [Clinic E], and [Clinic F] (the clinic where I had surgery). Right now, I am very, very torn between [Clinic D] and [Clinic E].
[Clinic D]: Build a support structure and remove the silicone. If a support structure is not built, contracture, an upturned nose, or a saddle nose may result. Unless you truly cannot tolerate having a firm nose, build the support structure for safety.
[Clinic E]: Complete removal is possible. Because you have a bulbous nose, this was the only kind of nose that could be done; I am not taking the previous surgeon's side. The removal will go well, and you will not develop contracture, an upturned nose, or a saddle nose. The sense of loss will be significant. If there is no inflammation now, think it over a little longer.
[Clinic F], where I had surgery: The bridge probably will not become dramatically lower, but the tip will spread considerably and look strange, so build a support structure with ear cartilage.
Many people say I should return to the clinic where I had surgery because they know my nose best. But I feel that removal should be done at a clinic specializing in removal, so I am considering [Clinic D] and [Clinic E]. Could I get any information, including negative experiences with either one? Please 🙇🏻♀️🙇🏻♀️
