Nose Re-Surgery

Total removal and columellar strut

I was going to have everything removed, but I could not go through with it. I did not have columellar retraction originally, but it developed after my first surgery, so they suggest creating a new columellar strut with ear cartilage and placing some ear cartilage in the retracted columellar area too. Considering collapse or columellar retraction, a columellar strut seems right, but I am worried that it might bend again later... even if it is ear cartilage? I wonder whether total removal would be better even if I end up with columellar retraction... For those who kept a columellar strut, or had one made with ear cartilage, did it bend? How was it..?
