Barabon Plastic Surgery 3-WAY lateral canthoplasty review (revision)

I had non-incisional lateral canthoplasty once five years ago, but over time it seemed to return to how it originally was. So this time, I looked into incisional rather than non-incisional lateral canthoplasty. After searching many clinics on Instagram, visiting in person, and deliberating, I chose Barabon Plastic Surgery. I think I decided on this clinic because the director's explanation of my eye condition during the consultation felt more trustworthy than at other clinics. Above all, I trusted that I could have lateral canthoplasty without inferior canthoplasty and without ending up with a panda-like appearance. One good thing after surgery was that I could send photos of my recovery through the chat room and immediately ask about discomfort or concerns. During recovery, even small things can make you worry whether they are normal, so being able to ask right away was helpful. The hardest part for me was that conjunctival edema lasted longer than I expected. Looking up reviews about conjunctival edema made me feel depressed, because it is said to occur most often among canthoplasty procedures and cannot necessarily be called a complication; some people even have it for two months. I kept using eye drops frequently, expecting it to disappear in two weeks, but after three weeks, all the conjunctival edema amazingly went away before one month. Quite some time has passed now, and people around me do not realize I had surgery unless I tell them first. My parents said my eyes somehow seem gentler without looking obvious. I definitely feel more confident without makeup. Looking at my eyes continuously, I can notice a little asymmetry because the two sides are not completely identical, and the right side feels less effective. Still, my outer eye corners are clearly softer than before and my overall eye shape seems gentler, so I am satisfied now. Because I struggled with conjunctival edema more than expected during recovery, the result did not feel extremely dramatic for the time I went through. At first I was afraid it would be too noticeable, but now I wish they had been widened more. Still, I prefer that my eye shape became naturally softer rather than changing too obviously. I hope my review helps anyone deliberating revision surgery because their lateral canthoplasty from five years ago seems to have returned.
