On the day of the procedure, I washed my face, applied numbing cream, and waited before going in. The doctor kept checking on my condition throughout and explained that the threads would be inserted along the facial contours to avoid dimpling, which made me less anxious.
Right after the procedure, I had slight swelling and needle-mark punctures on my cheeks where the threads had been inserted. The pulling sensation when opening my mouth or chewing was subtly bothersome for a few days. There was also a little bruising in the treated areas, but it was easily covered by a mask, so it did not significantly interfere with daily life.
Now that it has been about one to two weeks, the pulling foreign-body sensation has decreased considerably, and as the residual swelling goes down, I can see the contours settling into place. Just as the doctor emphasized during the consultation, it does not look overly pulled, with a harsh-looking eye area or an altered impression. It just feels like the sagging jowl fat and jawline I had been deliberating over have been naturally refined.
There has been no dimpling or indentation, and the needle marks have almost healed, so I am calmly satisfied with the overall process and progress. I wanted a contour that would look neatly refined without being excessive, and personally, I think it turned out cleanly. There is a reason this place is well known for thread lifts. I plan to continue getting maintenance care here.
