I had double-chin muscle plication plus liposuction, but honestly the before-and-after difference is barely noticeable. If my condition was one where it was difficult to expect more than this degree of change, should the clinic not have recommended surgery from the outset? In the end, there is almost no noticeable improvement, only prominent scars remain, and my stress about my double chin has actually become worse than before surgery. They now say the areas that cannot be further improved are due to skin laxity and salivary glands, but my double-chin shape is almost the same as it was before surgery. Then, could they not have assessed before surgery that there was limited room for improvement through fat or muscle treatment and that the salivary glands had a major influence? If so, rather than recommending liposuction or muscle plication from the beginning, I think they should have accurately explained that the change expected from this surgery would be limited and guided me to look into salivary-gland removal. Before surgery, they explained it as though the effect would be good, but now that there has been no change after surgery, I simply cannot understand why they are saying it is because of the salivary glands. I can only feel that I wasted money and time and was left with scars.
