Nose Re-Surgery

Review of Dr. Hwang Se-hwi restoring my nose

I had nose surgery at a clinic near Gangnam Station before, but my hump protruded again and a step deformity developed. Because of a pulling sensation at the nasal tip and a retracted columella, I eventually started looking into revision rhinoplasty. I consulted Dr. Hwang Se-hwi at ID Hospital, and I liked that he stated only the facts without unnecessary talk. I looked into his experience as well, and he has been practicing for quite a long time and is well known, so I decided to have my revision surgery here. He made a plan involving osteotomy of the re-protruding hump, correction of the step deformity, correction of the retracted columella and long nose, and nasal-tip cartilage suturing, then created a detailed design. To ensure the nasal tip would not pull again or droop, we decided to rebuild a firm foundational support structure using sturdy autologous costal cartilage. Honestly, until the splint came off, I was so swollen that I looked like an avatar, so I worried a lot that it had gone wrong. But after the splint was removed, I realized I had worried for nothing. The nasal tip is rounded, with no sense of a retracted columella, and it became an elegant straight-line nose... even better than the nose line I wanted T_T. Because the early swelling made it hard to manage my anxiety, I even contacted the coordinator at night... I only feel sorry and grateful that they responded kindly until the very end. Thanks to Dr. Hwang Se-hwi, who restored my disastrously failed nose, my long ordeal of revision surgeries is finally over T_T.
