Review of visits to seven double-eyelid surgery clinics in Seomyeon, Busan

I am a perfectionist and take research seriously, so I spent all day researching online and visited seven clinics in person. Since both online research and in-person visits are no small task, I am sharing this information. I excluded apps such as [Brand A] and only looked through reviews and comments in this community. I filtered out places with too many unsettling or negative comments before visiting. Ask if you are curious about anything! I naturally have a thin inner double eyelid, but my brow bone sits low, making my upper eyelids look thick. Even a slightly high crease makes my eyes look overly dramatic. Both the clinics and I thought my eye-opening strength looked good, so I passed on places that brought up ptosis correction. My goal was to raise the existing crease by only about 1–2 mm as naturally as possible. [Clinic A], 990,000 KRW, partial incision + slight ptosis correction / 2-year revision coverage They immediately understood that a high crease would look overly dramatic and created the crease as naturally as possible. The only place that marked the crease while determining the line. When I asked why ptosis correction was needed, they said, “Since we are doing it anyway, let’s do it,” which did not sit well with me. The consultation felt quick, and they suggested ptosis correction so it would be less likely to come undone. The doctor only tried making a crease and told me not to worry. They said my eyebrow heights differ and my brow bone is low; because my eyes differ, an incision was necessary. [Clinic D], currently 800,000 KRW, cash 1 million KRW, incision / 2-year revision coverage They opposed the partial-incision method. Their reason was that it may seem to combine the strengths of the buried-suture and incision methods, but in reality it also has the drawbacks of both. Partial incision can also come undone; if it does, it looks messy, and scars may heal unattractively. I originally wanted partial incision, but after hearing this, I decided I should not get it!! They prefer a dramatic look, and the doctor was quite blunt. The crease was too high, but they said it was fine, so I passed. [Clinic E], 990,000 KRW, minimal incision / 2-year revision coverage Both the staff and doctor spoke gently. They asked detailed questions about visits and prices at other clinics. They specialize in eyes. The consultant determined the crease first and showed both a natural crease and one that is slightly noticeable, based on my preference. They said I should not get ptosis correction because of my brow bone, and recommended a slightly higher crease in consideration of future sagging. [Clinic F], 880,000 KRW, incision / 2-year revision coverage The doctor was very calm, explained well, and seemed trustworthy. They identified my asymmetric eyes, brow bone structure, and upper-eyelid muscles. They immediately understood my needs, and I liked the crease. The consultation was not long but was very informative. There was no consultant consultation. They said I need an incision because my right eye may come undone, and they determined the crease for both eyes. *If this were not my first surgery, or if I had to undergo an incision, I would probably have done it here. [Clinic G], 770,000 KRW, buried-suture method / revision coverage unspecified They determined the creases for both eyes, and I liked the crease. The consultation was quick. Other places told me definitively which method to choose, but this place said I could choose between buried-suture and incision, which made me hesitate. The consultant seemed truly good at consultations. Since I was debating between buried-suture and incision, they said my eyes are large and pretty, so it would be a shame to have an incision, and discouraged it. They said that because my desired crease is not high, rather than taking the risks of future sagging or revision costs, I should try the buried-suture method once and have an incision later if needed. Personally, the doctor felt like a neighborhood uncle, which made them feel friendly but not very reassuring. While deciding between buried-suture and incision, I saw that everyone here says first-time surgery should be buried-suture, so I think I will choose [Clinic G], which recommended it! Most places mentioned incision or partial incision because of the muscle in my right eye, but I think I will proceed prepared for it to come undone. But there are so few reviews of [Clinic G], so I am conflicted. If anyone had surgery there, please share your review!! Or should I revisit [Clinic F] and ask whether they can do buried-suture if I accept the possibility of it coming undone? I am deliberating... Which would be better?
