When I look at old photos, my face was definitely slimmer than it is now, but at some point the lower part widened and my face started to look square. At first I thought I had gained weight, but even after losing weight, my jawline stayed the same.
At [Clinic A], I had a mini vertical lift and facial liposuction around the deep cheek fat at the same time. The plan was to lift the sagging areas upward while refining the volume that had appeared concentrated in the lower face.
The most noticeable change after surgery is my jawline. Before, the area descending from my cheeks to my jaw sagged outward, making my face look square; now that area has been refined, and it feels like my original face shape has returned. Perhaps because I also addressed the deep cheek fat, the heavy-looking area that had drooped beside my mouth has diminished. Fortunately, my cheek fat has not disappeared completely, making my face look hollow, nor does it feel overly pulled.
As time passed and the swelling subsided, the line beneath my jaw became clearer. From the front, the lower face looks less wide, and from the side, it is easy to see that my jawline has returned. Rather than drastically making my face smaller, I wanted to restore the lines that had deteriorated over several years, so I like this change.
After entering my thirties, I thought my face shape itself had changed, but after correcting the sagging, I think I understand why it had looked that way.
