Nose Re-Surgery

Day 13 review after nasal implant removal

Hi. On the 26th, I had my silicone partially removed, and on Saturday I even had the internal stitches removed. Reason for removal: Eight years ago, I had my hump smoothed and silicone placed on my nasal bridge. My glabella became swollen and I sometimes felt discomfort, so I got a CT. The silicone was slightly lifted, with pooled blood and bruising on the bridge. I was told it would eventually recur even if antibiotics improved it, so I had it removed quickly before contracture or inflammation developed. When they opened it, it was not inflammation; there was pooled blood. For reference, there is nothing else in my nasal tip; it is septal cartilage/ear cartilage, and there was no issue with those, so I left them alone. There were many questions about a step-off. At the surgical consultation, the doctor informed me a step-off could occur. I asked how much there might be, and was told that could only be known after removal, so I worried a lot. But after the internal stitches were removed and I saw the doctor, they said it probably would not be severe! Even to me, the current shape is more to my liking than my operated nose lol. The operated nose had a drooping tip and a bit of a hump, so it was not such a pretty shape, which may be why. There is still swelling, and after removing the silicone the front view looks somewhat wider? Rounder. People around me say I look more innocent without it;; As I gradually got used to it, it seems okay the more I look at it. I cried for the first week after the splint came off lol T_T. I will not take questions about the step-off T_T. I also do not know how it will be after more swelling goes down; I think only time will tell! Please use only the photos as reference! Do not worry too much or suffer emotionally too much, everyone; I hope you all end up with a naturally beautiful nose…!!!
