I was stressed about my nose and only went to consultations for several years, but this time I had my first rhinoplasty with Dr. Jeong-heum Park at [Clinic A]. I originally had almost no nasal bridge, and my nasal tip was bulbous, so my face looked spread out in photos. I especially disliked my profile because my nose line was barely visible. For surgery, I used autologous costal cartilage for the nasal tip and silicone to raise the bridge. I asked many questions during the consultation, and it was nice that the doctor listened to both the style I wanted and all my concerns and explained everything in detail. Other clinics strongly felt like they wanted to make it high no matter what, but here they discussed it based on my facial proportions, so I felt at ease. I worried a lot that autologous costal cartilage would hurt, but it was better than I expected. There was discomfort, but not to an unbearable degree. What I am most satisfied with is my profile. I now have a defined line, so photos look much better. From the front, with the nasal tip refined, my face also seems less spread out. There is probably still swelling to go down, but so far I am satisfied, and I hope this helps people deliberating over their first rhinoplasty.
