The best thing about surgery is that I no longer have to put on and carry around double-eyelid tape because of my uneven eyes. Single-sided tape came off too easily, so I bought and used double-sided tape, but after it was discontinued at Olive Young, finding a new item was so hard T_T But now? It is so convenient lol
I met my mom about two months after surgery. lol She could not even tell that I had eye surgery lol
I had sent my son to his maternal grandmother's house for a few days during summer vacation. Before surgery, worried that he might be startled, I had told him, “Mom's eyes hurt, so she had surgery.” I guess my son told his grandmother about it lol Only then did my mom realize lol
She said, “You should have told me earlier; we could have had surgery together!” She repeatedly said it looked really natural lol You know, moms are honest lol I bragged that technology is this good these days lol
Anyway, since having surgery on May 25, I have been living very happily with the result. At first, watching the swelling go down was fascinating but also worrying, but as time passes I can see it becoming more natural, so I think I am even more satisfied now. Best of all, I love being free from the hassle of having to apply double-eyelid tape every day lol
People I meet after a long time do not know I had surgery; they just say things like, “Your features seem more defined,” or “Did you lose weight?” So inside I am thinking, lol, success. I still sometimes look in the mirror and think, “This is exactly the natural look I wanted!” and feel satisfied lol
In conclusion... I think I would do it again even if I could go back! To my past self, stressed about uneven eyes and applying double-eyelid tape every day... I want to say, “You should have done it sooner ^^” lol
