It has been one month since I had incisional ptosis correction (double-eyelid surgery) + medial epicanthoplasty.
The itchiness at the surgical site has almost completely disappeared, and it does not interfere with daily life at all.
When washing my face or showering in the morning, I instinctively touch the area gently. I did not rub it hard as I did before surgery. (That is only natural.)
I have also become much more accustomed to opening my eyes.
I had monolids all my life and opened my eyes using my forehead muscles, so I think it took me some time to adapt to the new concept of naturally using strength in my eyelids.
At my one-month hospital visit, the left eyelid crease was slightly higher. They said this was because I still use my forehead muscles when opening my left eye.
The crease settles more quickly over time when I open my eyes using eyelid strength, but I seem to retain more of the habit of using forehead strength on the left than on the right.
So they injected Botox into the left side of my forehead and gave me two swelling-reduction injections in each eye area (the ptosis-correction side + the medial-epicanthoplasty side).
After the injections, the crease settled more noticeably and my eyes felt lighter, making everything much more natural.
Now that a month has passed, I can drink alcohol and exercise... I felt frustrated because I could not exercise, so I am happy that I can fully resume what I did before surgery.
I will continue documenting my progress.
