I injured my nose in 2014 and had surgery, then lived for over 10 years after that before having surgery again this time. Because the first surgery was so long ago, at first I wondered whether I really needed to do it again. But over time, I became less satisfied with my nose shape, and the parts I disliked from the front kept catching my eye. Since I was having my nose redone anyway, I decided to also have philtrum reduction for the long philtrum that had always bothered me.
After having both procedures, my face seems to have changed more than I expected. Rather than only changing my nose, it feels as if the entire midface looks more refined, so I am glad I chose this combination! At first, the swelling from the philtrum procedure made smiling or moving my lips feel a little awkward, but now it is natural. What I like most is that my nose is now refined to suit my face, without the disconnected feeling it used to have. It is strangely refreshing to address in one go the things that had bothered me for over 10 years~!
