The double-eyelid line I had made in the past gradually came loose over time, and the two sides were not symmetrical, so it subtly bothered me whenever I looked at my eyes. In photos, the line height differed on each side and even the way my eyes opened felt slightly different. Because of that, I kept worrying about matching the lines on both sides when applying makeup, and I thought it would be better just to have revision surgery. Since it was a revision, I worried I might need an incision, but after consulting I was told it could be redone with natural adhesion, so I had natural-adhesion double-eyelid revision surgery, along with non-incisional ptosis correction, upper canthoplasty, and medial canthoplasty. During the consultation, I explained the line I wanted and the aspects of my current eyes that bothered me. They said they would create a natural result suited to my eyes. The differing line heights were what bothered me most, and they designed them to match that as well. Early after surgery, swelling made the lines look somewhat pronounced and the inner eye area felt awkward, but it gradually improved as the swelling went down. Now the lines on both sides match much more closely than before, and my eye shape feels a little more defined too. Before, I was so stressed not only by the double-eyelid line coming loose, but also by the sides looking different. These days I can take photos without worrying about that, which I like best. Having medial and upper canthoplasty together also reduced the cramped feeling in the front of my eyes, and ptosis correction has made opening my eyes feel more comfortable than before. It seems to have turned out more naturally than I feared. Rather than looking dramatically changed, it feels like my eyes have been refined in the direction I wanted, so I am satisfied now.
