I had a consultation for total removal at [Clinic A] (now [Clinic B]), but afterward I realized I do not think I heard whether they perform alar cartilage repositioning. So I asked, but the consultation manager seemed unable to understand me well over the phone… I was like, ???. They kept talking about unrelated septoplasty~~ I said, “Not that; this is what I am asking about,” but they did not understand and kept talking at length about the septum. So I said I had already said I was not doing that, and what I was asking now was whether they do alar cartilage repositioning or not. Yet they kept going on about the septum... After saying the same thing about three times, I even explained in detail: “When removing the ear cartilage during surgery, if my own alar cartilage inside the nose is compressed, would you straighten it?” After I repeated it several times, they understood, but what was strange was that they repeated it back as though it were an unfamiliar term they had heard for the first time: “Alar cartilage repositioning...? The nasal wing...?” They said they would ask the surgeon, so I said, “Yes, please confirm,” and hung up. Could a consultation manager not know this..? Has anyone here who had total removal surgery there also had alar cartilage repositioning?
