I went for a consultation about removing my septal extension, and after looking at photos of my original nose, the doctor said it was large and broad. He said that after removing the septal extension, I would need surgery to reduce the alar cartilages by cutting the middle of them and joining them together for the shape to be corrected to some degree. But if the alar cartilages will be weakened after septal extension removal, is that technique really safe?
