I booked urgently and went in the same day; they said I might not meet the surgeon, but I went anyway. I seem to have met the wrong consultant. They were subtly unfriendly and explained the cash price; when I asked about card payment, they said things like, “Do you not have cash?” and “If you withdraw money and come back now, we can make it cheaper,” repeatedly bringing up money. They said only Dr. A, an older surgeon, performs lower-eyelid surgery, but my acquaintance had it done by a younger doctor. The surgeon happened to pass by, so I stopped and asked; they said I did not need medial canthoplasty. But the consultant initially told me I needed it. This was the only consultation clinic where the surgeon and consultant said different things. It seemed like a factory clinic, and the excessive push for cash means I do not plan to go.
