I had surgery 10 years ago, and now I’m on day 12 after revision rhinoplasty using autologous rib cartilage!
Swelling, tightness, bruising, etc. were severe for the first few days right after surgery, but I’ve been taking everything properly from Elas-A to Dangguysusan One Quick, and from day 3 after surgery I’ve been walking for an hour each day. I never smoked to begin with, and I stopped drinking alcohol a month before surgery and of course still haven’t been drinking. I’m focusing on recovery, so the swelling has gone down really well, and only one side still has a little bruising and eye bleeding left.
But starting yesterday evening, it suddenly felt like my nose was swelling up a lot.
Right before going to sleep, the tip of my nose felt like it was pulling, as if the cartilage was protruding. I couldn’t sleep either ㅠ I’m wondering if inflammation is about to start, or if it’s pulling like contracture, making the nasal tip I had been satisfied with look more upturned ㅠㅠ At dawn, even my eyes and forehead were throbbing ㅠㅠ It’s still hard today, but there’s no red swelling or discharge, just the hardness and pulling sensation continuing ㅠㅠ It throbs and hurts when I touch it.
Has anyone experienced this around the second week after surgery and then not had issues in the following months? The swelling had been going down well and then suddenly this happened. Could it be temporary?
